------Chiesa S.Antonio ---Saint Antonio church

Mavignola. La struttura, edificata prima del 1300 presenta un tetto a capanna coperto di scandole in larice mentre sulle pareti esterne si trovano affreschi eseguiti dai Baschenis che raffigurano la Deposizione di Cristo, con la Vergine e i santi più cari alla valle. All’interno invece troviamo rappresentazioni riguardanti Cristo Pantocrator con i simboli dei quattro evangelisti, la Madonna in trono con il Bambino, Sant’Antonio e Santa Barbara. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mavignola. Built before 1300, the structure has a gable roof covered with larch shingles. The external walls are decorated with different paintings frescoed by the Baschenis, depicting the Deposition of Christ, Virgin Mary and the Saints. Inside, instead, the walls are decorated with representations regarding Christ Pantocrator with the symbols of the four evangelists, Virgin Mary enthroned with the Baby Jesus, Saint Antonio and Saint Barbara.

Pinzolo. L’edificio sorge isolato ad ovest del centro abitato di Pinzolo, uno dei paesi più importanti della val Rendena, e deve il proprio aspetto in stile gotico alla riedificazione avvenuta nel 1515. Internamente le pareti della navata, dell’abside e dell’arco santo sono state affrescate a più riprese dagli esponenti della famiglia di pittori itineranti di origine bergamasca dei Baschenis. Spicca sulle pareti la raffigurazione di ventisei episodi delle Storie di San Vigilio, dalla nascita fino alle esequie passando per l’episodio cruciale dell’iconografia vigiliana, ovvero il leggendario martirio subito in questa valle. Nonostante le splendide rappresentazioni visibili all’interno della chiesa, l’affresco più celebre dell’edificio sacro è senza dubbio la Danza macabra, dipinta all’esterno sulla parete meridionale della chiesa insieme ad altre pitture accumunate dal motivo della morte. L’osservatore attento potrà notare in un cartiglio sotto il cavallo della morte la data dell’affresco, 1539, e la sigla del pittore Simone II Baschenis, la Croce di Sant’Andrea. Il corteo è aperto dalla Morte sovrana che suona la zampogna, seguita da due scheletri con il flauto che precedono Cristo in croce e le principali figure del mondo medievale, ciascuna accompagnata da scheletri sorridenti e beffardi che trafiggono i malcapitati. La Morte a cavallo, San Michele e Belzebù chiudono questa macabra processione. The building stands isolated in the western part of Pinzolo, one of the most important villages in Rendena Valley, and owes its Gothic appearance to the rebuilding that took place in 1515.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The inner walls of the nave, apse and holy arch have been frescoed on several occasions by the Baschenis, a family of painters originate from Bergamo. The depiction of twenty-six episodes of the Stories of Saint Vigilio is painted on the walls: from his birth to his funeral including the crucial episode of his life, the legendary martyrdom suffered in this valley. Despite the splendid representations visible inside the church, the most famous fresco of the church is undoubtedly the Dance of the Death, painted outside on the southern wall, along with other paintings with the motive of death. Under the horse ridden by Death the date of the fresco, 1539, and the symbol of the painter Simone II Baschenis, the Cross of Saint Andrew, can be seen. The procession is opened by the sovereign Death playing the bagpipes, followed by two skeletons with the flute preceding Christ on the cross and the main figures of the medieval world. Smiling and mocking skeletons that pierce the unfortunate accompany each figure. Death riding a horse, Saint Michele and Belzebù close this macabre procession. Carisolo. La Fabbrica di Cristalli, iniziò a produrre oggetti preziosi in cristallo nel 1805. Fondata dai soci Pernici e Bolognini, restò operativa fino al 1888. Oggi nell’edificio, grazie all’azione svolta dalla Fondazione “Maria Pernici – Antica Vetreria”, è possibile vedere gli strumenti di lavoro, alcuni oggetti in cristallo e documenti relativi all’opera dei mastri vetrai boemi.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carisolo. The Glass Factory, founded by Pernici and Bolognini, began producing precious crystal objects in 1805, carring on until 1888. Today in the building, thanks to the action carried out by the "Maria Pernici - Antica Vetreria" Foundation, it is possible to see the working tools, some crystal objects and historical documents relating to the work of the Bohemian glassmakers.

Carisolo. La Casa del Parco Geopark permette di scoprire la natura delle rocce, dei ghiacciai, degli ambienti acquatici e della biodiversità, tramite l’ausilio di plastici, diorami, esperimenti interattivi, postazioni multimediali. Di particolare interesse è la grotta carsica, ricostruita fedelmente con suoni e rumori reali e il tipico gocciolio dell’acqua.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Carisolo. In the Geopark Visitor Centre visitors can discover the nature of rocks, glaciers, aquatic environments and biodiversity, with the aid of models, dioramas, interactive experiments and multimedia stations. Very interesting is the karst cave, accurately reconstructed with real sounds and noises, such as the typical water dripping.

-----Chiesa S.Stefano----Saint Stefano church

Carisolo. La Chiesa di Santo Stefano sorge in posizione panoramica all’imbocco della Val Genova, su uno sperone roccioso sovrastante il torrente Sarca. Sui muri esterni sono visibili alcuni affreschi risalenti al 1519, tra i quali spicca la raffigurazione della Danza Macabra dipinta da Simone II Baschenis. Sulle pareti interne della chiesa è invece dipinta la scena di un battesimo alla presenza di Carlo Magno, con una lunga iscrizione che racconta il leggendario passaggio in Val Rendena del re dei Franchi. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Carisolo. Saint Stefano Church rises in a panoramic place, perched on a granitic rock overlooking the gateway to Val di Genova. The external walls are frescoed with some paintings dating back to 1519; among them the depiction of the Dance of Death by Simone II Baschenis stands out. On the inner walls of the church, instead, the scene of a baptism before Charlemagne is painted, together with a long inscription telling the legendary passage of the king of the Franks in Rendena Valley.

Terme Val Rendena ----fonte di S.Antonio--

Caderzone. Le prime testimonianze relative alla Terme Val Rendena si possono far risalire al 1635, quando fu il Principe Vescovo di Trento, Carlo Emanuele Madruzzo ad apprezzarne i benefici. Con il passare dei secoli in diverse occasioni si cercò di sfruttarle tanto che nel 1928 venne costituita la “Società Acquaforte Sant’Antonio-Caderzone”. Dovettero però passare ancora diversi decenni prima che le Terme diventassero un importante realtà termale, avvenuta nel 2004 con l’apertura dello stabilimento “Terme Val Rendena- Fonte Sant’Antonio”. ----------------------------------------------------------Caderzone. The first evidence relating to the Terme Val Rendena dates back to 1635, when the Prince Bishop of Trento, Carlo Emanuele Madruzzo, appreciated its benefits. Over the centuries and on various occasions, different attempts were made to get the most out of them, and finally in 1928 the "Società Acquaforte Sant’Antonio-Caderzone" was established. However, several decades passed before the Baths became an important thermal reality, which took place in 2004 with the opening of the “Terme Val Rendena- Fonte Sant’Antonio”.

Spiazzo. La Casa del Parco “Acqua Life” è dedicata alla fauna ittica locale. Nelle strutture realizzate in bio edilizia e lungo il percorso esterno è possibile osservare le varie specie ittiche nel loro ambiente naturale. Inoltre, è presente un piccolo impianto ittiogenico destinato alla riproduzione e al ripopolamento della Trota Marmorata gestito dall’Associazione Pescatori Alto Sarca. ----------------------------------------------------Spiazzo. Water Life Visitor Centre is dedicated to the typical fish of the local area. In the green buildings and along the external path it is possible to observe the various species in their natural environment. In addition, there is a small ichthyogenic plant for the reproduction and repopulation of the Marble Trout managed by the Alto Sarca Fishermen Association.

Spiazzo. La Mostra Museale della Guerra Bianca è stata realizzata grazie all’impegno dell’Associazione Storico-Culturale della Guerra Bianca Adamellina 1915-1918. Nell’edificio si possono osservare le testimonianze materiali, bibliografiche, archivistiche e fotografiche relative alla Grande Guerra combattuta sul versante dell’Adamello - Carè Alto. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------Spiazzo. The White War Museum Exhibition has been realized thanks to the commitment of the “Associazione Storico-Culturale della Guerra Bianca Adamellina 1915-18”. In the building, visitors can see the bibliographic, archival and photographic evidence relating to the Great War fought on the Adamello - Carè Alto side.

-------Chiesa S.Vigilio------S. Vigilio church

Spiazzo. La Chiesa di San Vigilio e Martire di Spiazzo fu realizzata a partire dal V secolo. Edificata in onore del Santo, la tradizione popolare riporta che San Vigilio fu lapidato nel punto in cui sorge oggi il sacello. Oggetto di diversi ampliamenti nel corso dei secoli, le mura della struttura originaria sono ancora in parte visibili così come la pianta a forma di croce latina. Di particolare interesse risultano essere gli affreschi di Simone II Baschenis de Averara.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Spiazzo. Saint Viglio Church was built starting from the 5th century. It was built in honor of the Saint and the popular tradition reports that Saint Vigilio was stoned at the point where the “sacellum” stands today. Despite several expansions over the centuries, the walls of the original structure are still partly visible as well as the Latin cross-shaped plan. Particularly interesting are the paintings frescoed by Simone II Baschenis de Averara.

Vigo Rendena. Capitello 4 facce: Singolare capitello religioso dipinto su tutte le quattro facciate, è stato costruito nel 1630 come voto per la peste. Nel 1882 è stato affrescato dal pittore Valentino Pupin di Schio con una serie di iscrizioni dedicatorie della comunità e le raffigurazioni di San Vigilio e San Lorenzo (nicchia sud), Madonna del Rosario con Santa Caterina e San Domenico (nicchia nord), San Sebastiano e San Rocco (nicchia est), San Valentino (nicchia ovest).--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Vigo Rendena. Four faces capital: original religious capital with the four faces painted. It was built in 1630 as a vow for the pestilence. In 1882 it was frescoed by the painter Valentino Pupin from Schio with the paintings of Saint Vigilio and Saint Lorenzo (southern wall), the Madonna of the Rosary with Saint Caterina and Saint Domenico (northern wall), Saint Sebastiano and Saint Rocco (eastern wall), Saint Valentino (western wall).

Casa Cüs

Darè. Casa Cüs è un tradizionale edificio alpino di impianto medievale situato a Darè e conservatosi fino ai nostri giorni. Il percorso museale si avvale di un efficace allestimento in maniera da ricostruire i diversi ambienti di una tipica casa rurale giudicariese che ha caratterizzato queste valli fino a pochi decenni fa. Tra le diverse ricostruzioni, una delle più efficaci e vaste è la cosiddetta “Bottega del Ramaio”, arricchita da circa 300 utensili di proprietà del ramaio Egidio Gottardi di Javrè e donati a Casa Cüs dai figli dell’artigiano. Casa Cus is a traditional alpine building with a medieval layout. It is located in Darè and has been preserved until today. The museum itinerary makes use of an effective set-up in order to recreate the different environments of a typical rural house typical of these valleys until a few decades ago. Among the various reconstructions, one of the most effective and vast is the so-called "Bottega del Ramaio", enriched with about 300 tools owned by the coppersmith Egidio Gottardi of Javrè and donated to Casa Cüs by the craftsman’s sons. La Chiesa di San Vigilio si trova in cima a uno sperone di roccia accanto al fiume, dove secondo la tradizione popolare il corpo del Santo fu ripescato, dopo che i pagani lo gettarono nel fiume Sarca. La chiesa attuale venne edificata assieme al campanile nel 1692 e consacrata nel 1695. L’edificio lungo 16 metri e largo 7 si suddivide nella navata, nell’abside e nella sacrestia ed è d’impronta prettamente romantica. Insieme alla chiesa fu costruito anche l’unico altare in legno colorato e dorato, più in stile rococò che barocco, con due colonne a spirale, ricoperte di rami e fiori pendenti.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Tione - Vat. Saint Vigilio Church is located on top of a rock spur next to the river, where, according to the popular tradition, the body of the Saint was found, after the pagans threw it into the River Sarca. The church and the bell tower were built in 1692 and consecrated in 1695; the church is 16 meters long and 7 meters wide, it is divided into the nave, apse and sacristy; the style is purely romantic. Inside the church, there is only one altar, made by coloured and gilded wood, with two spiral columns, covered with branches and hanging flowers.

Iron

Lungo la strada che collega Ragoli a Stenico, si trova prima dell’imbocco della Val d’Algone un bivio che porta in pochi minuti all’antico borgo di Irone (875 mt). Irone (o Iron) è un vilaggio isolato in una breve spianata circondato da una fitta vegetazione. Il borgo iniziò a spopolarsi già dalla fine del Quattrocento e questo ha certamente contribuito al mantenimento dell’architettura medioevale. I documenti narrano che dopo la terribile peste del 1630, il borgo rimase quasi completamente disabitato e da questo evento sono sorte numerose leggende che hanno aumentano la notorietà del luogo. Attualmente Iron è abitato soltanto durante la stagione estiva dai proprietari dei rustici che abitualmente vivono nelle frazioni a Valle.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Along the road that connects Ragoli to Stenico, before the entrance to the Val d'Algone, a crossroad leads in a few minutes to the ancient village of Irone (875 m). Irone (or Iron) is an isolated village, built in a clearing surrounded by dense vegetation. The place became less populated by the end of the fifteenth century and this certainly contributed to the maintenance of medieval architecture. The documents narrate that after the terrible plague of 1630, the village remained almost completely uninhabited and, since then, numerous legends have arisen and increased the notoriety of the place. Currently, the owners of the cottages that usually live in the Valley inhabit Iron only during summer season.

------Castel Stenico----- Stenico castle

Stenico. Il Caste di Stenico risale al XII secolo ma è legato ad un preesistente castelliere preistorico, dato che la zona dove poggia è altamente strategica poiché controlla il territorio a ovest di Trento. Di proprietà prima del principe vescovo di Trento che commissionò numerosi ampliamenti, il castello passò poi nelle mani del governo austriaco come sede dell’Imperial Regio Giudizio ed ufficio delle imposte, per poi diventare sede della Pretura e poi dei carabinieri sotto il governo italiano. Nel 1973 la Provincia Autonoma di Trento ha avviato i lavori per la sua sistemazione per poi renderlo accessibile al pubblico. Il castello è sede anche della biosfera dell’UNESCO per quanto riguarda la zona delle Alpi Ledrensi e delle Giudicarie. Stenico Castle was built in the 12th century on the bases of a pre-existing prehistoric castle, since the area where it is located is strategic and controls the territory to the west of Trento. At the beginning the castle was owned by the prince bishop of Trento who commissioned numerous extensions; the castle then passed into the hands of the Austrian government as the seat of the Imperial Royal Court and tax office, before becoming the seat of the Magistracy and then of the Carabinieri under the Italian government. In 1973, the Autonomous Province of Trento started working on some arrangements in order to make it accessible to the public. The castle is also UNESCO biosphere headquarters, with regard to the area of the Ledrense Alps and the Giudicarie. Bosco Arte Stenico

tenico. BoscoArteStenico è un percorso facilmente accessibile per conoscere le opere realizzate in legno dagli artisti di Arte Contemporanea. I pezzi sono distribuiti lungo un itinerario nel bosco, occupandone i diversi livelli, l'erba, i tronchi, i rami. Concepite sia come installazioni sia come sculture in tronchi fissati nel terreno, le opere dialogano tra loro e con i visitatori attraverso il linguaggio simbolico dell'arte. -----------------------------Stenico. BoscoArteStenico is a gentle walk, easily accessible, which hosts the artwork realized on site by contemporary artists. The pieces are placed alongside a trail in the wood, taking advantage of the different levels a forest can offer: the grass and the ground, the trunks, the branches. Sculptures and installations set up a dialogue among themselves and with the public through the symbolic language of art.

----Casa della flora ------------ Rio Bianco ----------Flora Visitor Centre

Stenico. I temi dell’acqua e il mondo delle piante sono i due concetti principali che si affrontano nella Casa del Parco Flora. Il patrimonio naturale del Parco è illustrato sia all’interno della struttura che all’esterno, tramite un percorso didattico che presenta gli ambienti vegetali del Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta e che tocca le cascate del Rio Bianco. Quest’ultimo ha origine da una sorgente carsica, ed ha la particolarità di essere “Intermittente”. La sorgente è praticamente inattiva in autunno ed in inverno, mentre in primavera ed in estate riversa sul pendio un’incredibile quantità d’acqua.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Stenico. Water and world of plants are the two main topics of the Flora Visitor Centre. The natural heritage of the Park is illustrated both inside and outside the structure, through an educational itinerary that presents the plant environments of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. The path also reaches the Rio Bianco waterfall, which originates from a karst spring, and has the distinction of being "intermittent". The water spring is practically inactive in autumn and winter, while in spring and summer it pours over the slope an incredible amount of water.

San Lorenzo in Banale - Dorsino

Assieme a Rango nelle Giudicarie, Canale di Tenno nell’alto Garda e Mezzano in Primiero, San Lorenzo in Banale è uno dei quattro borghi trentini iscritti nel rinomato Club de “I Borghi più Belli d’Italia”. Percorrendo a piedi o in bicicletta Berghi, Dolaso, Glolo, Pergnano, Prato, Prusa e Senaso, ovvero le sette piccole ville che costituiscono il paese, si ha l’opportunità di immergersi in tranquilli e deliziosi centri abitati situati sotto lo sguardo severo delle maestose Dolomiti. Nelle ampie piazze e nei vicoli stretti di questi silenziosi paesi sono ancora visibili le architetture del mondo contadino che alternano elementi signorili come maestosi portali, fontane in pietra ed eleganti logge con quelli di gusto decisamente più rustico come fienili, pontili in legno e semplici abbeveratoi. Adagiato su una vasta e soleggiata terrazza naturale, San Lorenzo è conosciuto anche con l’appellativo di “Porta sulla Valle d’Ambièz” in quanto costituisce l’accesso meridionale alle Dolomiti di Brenta verso il celebre rifugio Agostini, punto privilegiato di partenza di numerose spedizioni alpinistiche. Nella frazione di Dorsino è presente la chiesa di San Giorgio, che risale al Duecento, affrescata da Cristoforo II Baschenis nel 1.500. -------------------------------------------Together with Rango in the Giudicarie Valley, Canale di Tenno in the upper Garda and Mezzano in the Primiero Area, San Lorenzo in Banale is one of the four Trentino villages registered in the renowned Club "The Most Beautiful Villages of Italy". Walking or cycling through Berghi, Dolaso, Glolo, Pergnano, Prato, Prusa and Senaso, the seven tiny “ville” that make up the village, visitors have the opportunity to discover peaceful and charming places located under the majestic Dolomites. In the wide squares and in the narrow alleys of these silent villages the architecture of the rural world is still visible, alternating noble elements, such as majestic portals, stone fountains and elegant loggias, with more rustic constructions, such as barns, wooden small bridges and simple drinking troughs. San Lorenzo is also known by the nickname “Porta sulla Valle d'Ambièz” as it is the southern access to the Brenta Dolomites towards the famous Agostini refuge, a privileged starting point for numerous mountaineering expeditions. In the hamlet of Dorsino, there is the Church of San Giorgio, which dates back to the 13th century and was frescoed by Cristoforo II Baschenis in the 1500s.

---La casa del parco------- "C'era una volta"-------“Once upon a time" ---visitor centre

S.Lorenzo. La Casa del Parco “C’era una volta” è una mostra etnografica permanente allestita presso “Casa Osei”, struttura settecentesca recentemente ristrutturata dall’Amministrazione comunale. L’esposizione presenta oggetti della culturale locale raccolti da Dario Widmann e poi acquistati dal Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------S. Lorenzo. The “Once upon a Time” Visitor Centre is a permanent ethnographic exhibition located in the “Casa Osei”, an eighteenth-century building recently renovated by the municipal administration. The exhibition presents objects from the “Widmann” collection purchased a few years ago by the Park.

Deggia

Nella frazione di Deggia, piccola località nei pressi di S. Lorenzo in Banale, si trova il Santuario dedicato alla Madonna di Caravaggio realizzato tra il 1894 e il 1896. La struttura fu edificata in sostituzione di una precedente cappella dedicata alla Madonna, eretta poco dopo l'epidemia di colera del 1855 per voto dei sopravvissuti. L’edificio presenta all’interno una navata unica, divisa in due campate coperta da volte a vela e a creste e vele nell'abside. Il presbiterio, elevato di un gradino, è preceduto da un'arcata; le pareti e le volte sono ornate da dipinti murali di Marco Bertoldi realizzati a tempera e ad affresco nel 1945. Oggi la frazione risulta essere spopolata, mentre un tempo era sede di una serie di attività commerciali legate alla ricchezza d’acqua della zona.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Deggia is a small village near S. Lorenzo in Banale. One of the most interesting things in this hamlet is the Sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna of Caravaggio built between 1894 and 1896. The structure was built to replace a previous chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary, erected by those who survived the cholera epidemic in 1855. The building has a single nave, divided into two bays and an arch precedes the presbytery. The walls and vaults are decorated with murals, frescoed by Marco Bertoldi in 1945. Today the hamlet is depopulated, while once it was the place of different commercial activities linked to the wealth of water in the area.

-----Forra del Limarò----Limarò Gorge-

Immediatamente a valle del paese di Ponte Arche le acque impetuose e spumeggianti del torrente Sarca hanno profondamente inciso le pareti rocciose, scavando una profonda forra che giunge fino all’abitato di Sarche nella sottostante valle dei Laghi. Sportivi e amanti della natura possono percorrere lunghi tratti di questa ampia gola per ammirare gli effetti dell’azione erosiva dell’acqua che ha plasmato le rocce, trasformandole in vere e proprie sculture naturali. Il camminatore del San Vili potrà ammirare la forra dall’alto, lungo il sentiero che collega Deggia a Ranzo. Sono numerosi i ponti che attraversano questa forra collegando il Banale con il Lomaso, ma il più suggestivo è sicuramente quello chiamato Balandino, o “Balandin”, eretto all’inizio della gola, nei pressi della località Terme di Comano. L’architettura di questa struttura ha indotto molti studiosi a collocare la costruzione di questo manufatto in età romana, sebbene in realtà sia decisamente più recente in quanto eretto verso la metà del XIX secolo in sostituzione del vecchio ponte distrutto da una piena del torrente Sarca nel 1845.------------------------------------------------Immediately downstream the village of Ponte Arche, the wild and foaming waters of the Sarca stream have deeply carved the rocky walls, digging a deep gorge that reaches the village of Sarche in the underlying Valle dei Laghi. Sport and nature lovers can travel long stretches of this wide gorge in order to admire the effects of the erosive action of water that has shaped the rocks, transforming them into real natural sculptures. The San Vili walkers will be able to admire the gorge from above, along the path that connects Deggia to Ranzo. There are different bridges that cross this gorge connecting Banale with Lomaso, but the most impressive is certainly the one called Balandino, or "Balandin", erected at the beginning of the gorge, near the town of Terme di Comano. The architecture of this structure has led many scholars to date it in Roman times, although it is actually more recent, as it was erected in the mid-nineteenth century to replace the old bridge destroyed by a flood of the Sarca stream in the 1845.

Toblino. Il Castel Toblino è un esempio di castello lacustre situato nella Valle dei Laghi nel territorio del comune di Madruzzo. La struttura è arroccata su una piccola e protetta penisola bagnata dall’omonimo lago e la sua collocazione ha evidenti motivi di strategia difensiva. Conosciuto per le leggende e gli amori proibiti, il castello come si presenta oggi è il risultato della riedificazione voluta da Bernardo Clesio nel XVI secolo e in seguito dai signori Madruzzo. Della struttura medioevale si individua la muratura e la torretta a nord ovest dell’attuale perimetro. La torre cilindrica, emblema del castello vanta un’altezza di 20 metri. Santa Massenza

Secondo la tradizione leggendaria Santa Massenza, madre del vescovo Vigilio, avrebbe abitato questi luoghi in passato, trasmettendo il proprio nome a questo piccolo centro abitato posto nel comune di Vallelaghi. Il borgo si affaccia su un incantevole lago che accoglie le acque provenienti dalla centrale idroelettrica di Santa Massenza realizzata in caverna nel monte Gazza negli anni Cinquanta del Novecento. Ultimato nel 1957 dopo dieci anni di lavori, l’impianto rappresenta l’elemento più importante di una vasta e complessa rete idroelettrica in grado di captare le acque dell’intero bacino del torrente Sarca e incanalarle verso i laghi di Ponte Pià e Molveno da dove giungono fino a Santa Massenza. La possibilità di impiegare questa enorme massa d’acqua ha reso questa centrale il sito idroelettrico più potente in Europa all’epoca della sua inaugurazione e di gran lunga il più importante ancora oggi presente in Trentino. Attualmente il bacino, collegato con quello vicino di Toblino, ospita una ricca fauna ittica tra cui si distinguono anguille, trote, carpe, persici e tinche. -------Laghi di Lamar-------Lamar lakes

Localizzati proprio sotto al Monte Paganella, i laghi di Lamar, un tempo uniti tra loro, sono stati divisi da una frana dando così origine a due bacini distinti: il lago Santo a sud e il lago di Lamar a nord. Quest’ ultimo è circondato dal bosco e da rocce, con un’ampia spiaggia prativa sul lato occidentale. Considerando i fondali e la conformazione delle rocce, il lago è diventato meta gettonata nel mondo per la pratica delle immersioni sub acque, mentre durante l’estate è oggetto di consistenti flussi turistici.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------At the foot of Mount Paganella, the Lamar Lakes, once joined together, have been divided by a landslide, and now are two distinct basins: Lake Santo in the south and Lake Lamar in the north. Due to the seabed and the conformation of the rocks, the lake has become a popular destination in the world for the practice of scuba diving, while during the summer many tourist come to visit it.

-Chiesa S.Apollinare- S. Apollinare church

Trento. La Chiesa di Santa Apollinare risale al XIV secolo. La struttura è caratterizzata da un tetto ricoperto di scandole in legno e sulla facciata si trovano tre ordini di finestre e il portale in stile tardo romantico. Alla base del campanile si può osservare un sarcofago trecentesco con una scultura raffigurante un monaco portato in cielo dagli angeli. Da ricordare il dipinto raffigurante la Madonna con il Bambino, attribuito a Nicolò da Padova (presunto seguace di Giotto).----------------------Trento. Saint Apollinare Church dates back to the 14th century. A roof covered with wooden shingles characterizes the structure. On the façade there are three rows of windows and the portal in late romantic style. At the base of the bell tower, a fourteenth-century sarcophagus with a sculpture depicting a monk carried in heaven by angels finds its place. Great importance is to be given to the painting depicting the Madonna with the Child, ascribed to Nicolò da Padova (supposed follower of Giotto).

Trento. Il Duomo di Trento, dedicato a S. Vigilio, ha origini antiche. Le prime testimonianze risalgono ad un’antica chiesa sorta nel 400, mentre l’aspetto attuale è riconducibile al vescovo Federico Vanga che nel 1212 affidò ad Adamo d’Arogno il compito di riprogettare la struttura. La realizzazione proseguì nel corso dei secoli e subì numerose modiche, legate soprattutto alle diverse correnti artistiche succedutesi nel corso degli anni. Gli ultimi interventi, promossi negli anni 1963-1977 dall’Arcivescovo Alessandro M. Gottardi, comportarono il nuovo assetto liturgico del presbiterio e la scoperta degli antichi ambienti sotterranei. Trento. Il Castello del Buonconsiglio è stato la residenza dei Principi Vescovi dalla fine del XIII secondo fino al 1803. Costruito con funzioni difensive, l’edificio ha subito nel corso dei secoli profonde modifiche che lo hanno reso uno dei complessi residenziali maggiormente fortificati delle Alpi. Il castello offre la possibilità di immergersi nella storia, sia dal punto di vista architettonico, militare che artistico. Di rilevante importanza risultano essere le raffigurazioni del ciclo dei mesi, una serie di affreschi databili intorno al 1400 che rappresentano per ogni mese la vita di corte e quella popolare. Da ricordare anche il suo utilizzo come carcere durante la prima Guerra Mondiale, dove furono imprigionati alcuni irredentisti. Nel 1973 la struttura passa dalle competenze dello Stato a quelle della Provincia Autonoma di Trento e viene denominata “Castello del Buonconsiglio, Monumenti e collezioni provinciali”.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Trento. Torre civica

Trento. La parte orientale della piazza del Duomo è dominata dal Palazzo Pretorio e dalla Torre Civica, simbolo del potere comunale. La torre venne edificata nel XI secolo sui resti della porta romana che si apriva sulla via Claudia Augusta e innalzata a più riprese. Durante le feste del Concilio la torre veniva illuminata e dalla sua sommità venivano sparati colpi di artiglieria e fuochi d’artificio. Con i suoi 43 metri d’altezza la torre domina la Piazza e con il suo grande orologio scandisce il ritmo della città.--------------------------------------------------------Trento.
